“ESBM a unique Alternative Provision
ESBM is proud to offer the young people of Leicester and surrounding area a unique alternative provision which provides a selection of vocational courses which can be taken individually or blended to suit their personalised needs. Flexibility is central to our offer and so we can tailor each young person’s programme to suit their needs and the requirements of the base school. Uniquely in the area we can accommodate students five days each week Monday – Friday. We are passionate about enhancing life chances and central to that is our commitment to working in partnership with the young person, parents and base school to secure the next step in the young person’s career path. We work actively to educate them in the opportunities available and to secure that step for them whether it be to a local FE College, sixth Form, apprenticeship or employment.
Our Curriculum
Each young person has a special set of needs which must be matched to their individual career path. They can choose from the following in any combination:
- Functional Skills – English, Mathematics and IT
- GCSE – English and Mathematics
- Vocational – Health and Social Care, Child Care, ICT, Travel and Tourism
Teachers
Our teachers are experienced and fully DBS approved. They receive regular training and are subject to appraisal and monitoring by both Centre Manager and Principal.
Management
Our management team are approachable and friendly. They model the behaviour they expect of the young people in their care, and both give and demand respect and hard work. Our Centre Manager and Principal take a keen interest in the onboarding, progress and onward progression of every young person. Securing the next step in their career is a top priority.
Accommodation
Our courses are delivered at new and impressive premises located near Vaughn College/Holiday Inn. An open-plan format allows students to learn in a modern, flexible, professional, office atmosphere with full access to necessary IT facilities. The city centre location means access by public transport is regular. We have dedicated car parking to facilitate visits from school-based colleagues.
